Autumn Aeroboot Update
The following update was emailed out on Thursday 7th October 2021, to previous Aeroboot sellers and participants:
"Dear Aerobooter,
As you will be aware we have undertaken a wide ranging consultation with regards to the possibility of the museum hosting another Aeroboot aviation sale this autumn.
We have received a wide range of views on this idea with a virtual 50 : 50 split for those in favour of attending an outdoor event. With such a split viewpoint; some negative experience last weekend with a wet 1940s Weekend event on the Saturday and some increasing Covid infection rates across Nottinghamshire – the sad decision has been taken NOT to host another sale this year.
We appreciate that this will be disappointing news to some of you, but we wanted to let you know first, before we make a public announcement tomorrow.
Stay safe this winter and we look forward to hosting another sale in spring 2022."
We will issue further updates in the coming months, when we finalise any dates for spring/summer 2022.
