BBC Big Day Out Thank You

Today has been another great BBC Radio Nottingham Big Day Out event – with 628 people attending for free; this is approximately 4 times the normal visitors for a Sunday in late April. This is absolutely fantastic, we hope that you all had a great time and thanks to everyone involved.

A big thank you to everyone who helped to make today's event happen, visitors; museum volunteers; museum café staff / volunteers and museum shop staff / volunteers. There's an added thank you to those people amongst the museum membership who supported today’s aircraft opening marathon in support of the Big Day Out event, we couldn’t do it without each and every one of you. We hope that everyone got something out of the event.

Thanks to the efforts of our volunteers today we were able to open the following aircraft and cockpits : Vulcan, Varsity, Shackleton, Hastings, Puma, Chinook, Canberra B(I)8, Phantom CIM, Jaguar cockpit, Jetstream, Sea Harrier, flight simulator sessions etc. (apologies for any that have been missed off the list!)

There's also a mention for those on car parking duty and involved in keeping the site clean and tidy!
