Funds need to move Chinook to the museum

We need to raise £2,500 to move its recently acquired Chinook HC.1 helicopter ‘cab’ (fuselage) from RAF Cranwell to our site here in eastern Nottinghamshire.

Due to the size of the ‘cab’ a specialist company will be employed to load and complete the move whilst complying with various transport regulations; and then off-load the ‘cab’ at the museum site.

This unique Chinook ‘cab’ is from ZA717, which was ‘written-off’ in a non-fatal incident at RAF Mount Pleasant, Falkland Islands on 25 July 1989.

Anyone who wishes to make a contribution can do so by calling in at the Museum Shop, or by visiting a special Just Giving page that has been set-up by following this Weblink

We hope that you might be willing to make a contribution towards the cost of moving Chinook ZA717 to the museum.
