Museum Closed During Lockdown 2
The museum has now closed to visitors, for the duration of the second Lockdown. During the coming days we will be investigating the re-introduction of our previous Call & Collect ordering system, with a view to continuing with the vital museum fund raising efforts to get through these challenging times. We hope to be back quite soon with some news about this!
We will have an ad hoc supervision process in place whereby when appropriate we check building alarms, monitor the waste treatment plant etc. This will be undertaken by volunteers who will be following Covid-Secure guidance on social distancing and individual personal care.
Wherever possible museum staff and volunteers will be monitoring the email accounts remotely; providing updates via this website and our various social media feeds. We will also try to establish fresh remote contact groups to keep museum members appraised of any changes to the situation.
We are currently making fresh checks to see whether or not we qualify for government grants; exploring other funding streams and working out how we can come out of this crisis invigorated and stronger than before here at our Gateway Aviation Site in eastern Nottinghamshire.Any museum members wishing to pay their Membership Renewal or make a Donation direct to us via bank transfer is asked to make contact
via this EMAIL link
As a volunteer managed registered charity we rely on public admission fees, shop sales etc. to fund our operation and we will be ever reliant on the generosity of our visitors, volunteers and staff in these unprecedented and challenging times.
There are two funding routes that you can use to help us:
You can make a donation right now by following this JUST GIVING weblink.
By using the EASY FUND RAISING site; please use this link to register and start helping to raise funds for the museum right now.
Stay safe and healthy everyone, we will need your support in future!
