2018 Project Update for Project Panini (Mod)
On Saturday 30th December 2017 we received the following notification from East Midlands Building Consultancy about Building Regulations Conditional Approval for the new Modular Café & Toilet facility:
“Thank you for the submission of your Full Plans application to East Midlands Building Consultancy (EMBC).
The plans have been checked for compliance with the Building Regulations and I am pleased to advise the application has been approved. Please find your Conditional Approval attached to this email, this is an important document you will need to keep safe.
You will be allocated a dedicated surveyor who will guide you through the process and carry out site visits throughout the development.”
This is great news as we close out 2017and we are all looking forward to an exciting New Year in 2018.
As previously advised this new development will take place on the Southfield Site** close to Display Hangar 2. This high-quality design will be manufactured off site and then installed at the museum sometime early in 2018.

** The Southfield Site is 12.38 acres of land that the museum purchased in 1995 and is currently home to Display Hangar 2, the RAF Winthorpe Memorial Garden and several museum aircraft.
