Vulcan Bomb Bay
Spring Clean

Now that our electrical based trades, “leckies and Fairys”, have decided that
it’s warm enough for them to leave the crew room, they have repaired the Vulcan
cockpit lights and, equally as important, the ground servicing lights.
Apparently, they gave a couple of relays some percussive
force .... a good thump or two!! However, this meant that the accumulation of
years of dirt in the bomb bay was clearly visible to visitors!
Consequently, it was decided to try to clean the doors using
some modern technology .... a steam floor mop.
The results can be seen in the accompanying
photo (taken before the museum closed to visitors in mid-March)!
