We re-open at 10am on Friday 2nd January 2026, and we aim to be open thereafter throughout 2026. That said, we are mindful of various winter weather warnings that are currently in place across the region.
We will be monitoring the situation in the coming days, and we may be forced to review our opening times. This is due to the fact that several staff members and volunteers travel significant distances to get to the museum site and they may struggle to get to and from the museum if the weather deteriorates.

These updates will be posted to advise you of any changes to this situation and we are sorry for any inconvenience that these potential uncertainties may cause.
Normal winter opening times are 10am to 4pm throughout the period November to February; with the last admission to the museum itself being at 3pm and last admission to the Museum Shop for shoppers is 3.40pm.
