Lecture 1st May 2019
The Berlin Airlift

On Wednesday 1st May 2019 we are co-hosting a lecture in the museum café with the East Midland Branch of the Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN).

The talk by former RAF Navigator, Mike Pugh-Davies will be about the Berlin Airlift, and it will mark the 70th Anniversary of the lifting of the blockade by Soviet forces on 12 May 1949. Timings for the lecture are 19.00 for 19.30; however because our Hastings flew Berlin Airlift operations we plan to host an open cockpit session on TG517 in advance of lecture, which will start at 17.00 after the museum closes to the public..

We have a limited number of places available to non-museum members, so anyone who wishes to attend should register their name by sending an email via this LINK

or by leaving their contact details in the Museum Shop.

Admission will be conditional on you purchasing a minimum of £2 worth of raffle tickets at the lecture and this will be paid on the day.
