With regard to each of your visits to our websites we may automatically collect the following information:

* This website uses tracking software to monitor its visitors to better understand how they use it. This software is provided by Google Analytics which uses cookies to track visitor usage. The software will save a cookie to your computer’s hard drive in order to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the website, but will not store, save or collect personal information. * Other cookies may be stored to your computer’s hard drive by external vendors when this website uses referral programmes, sponsored links or adverts. Such cookies are used for conversion and referral tracking and typically expire after 30 days, though some may take longer. No personal information is stored, saved or collected.

Information we receive from other sources 

We may receive information about you if you use any of the other websites we operate or the other services we provide.

The information we get from other organisations may depend on your privacy settings or the responses you give, so you should regularly check them.

Third party organisations

We may share your personal information across the Newark Air Museum and our trading company, Newark Air Museum Trading Company Ltd.

We do not sell your data to third parties for the purposes of marketing.

Where we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other subscription agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ourselves, our customers, or others, we shall do so. This includes exchanging information with other companies, agencies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction and for the purpose of administering Gift Aid.

Storing your personal data

We ensure that there are appropriate technical controls in place to protect your personal details. For example our online forms are always encrypted and our network is protected and routinely monitored.

We undertake regular reviews of who has access to information that we hold to ensure that your information is only accessible by appropriately trained staff and volunteers.

The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site and any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

If you request to receive no further contact from us, we will keep some basic information in order to avoid sending you unwanted materials in the future, and to ensure that we do not accidentally store details for the same person multiple times.  If we did not retain this information then this could result in us contacting you again as we would no longer have a record of your request not to be contacted.

We will keep your personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, in accordance with our internal policies.

To request details of the information we hold about you, if you have provided us with your personal information, but decide at a later date that you no longer want to receive information from us, or if you wish to update us that your contact details have changed or change your preferences, simply let us know by:
