RAF Balderton Commemoration Thank You

The museum & the RAF Balderton Research Group have now come to the end of wonderful reunion event and book launch at the museum, which despite the overcast weather was really well attended by many different people from around the world .

On behalf of the museum trustees we would like to send out very big thank you the following: all of the veterans and their friends and families; the Chairman of Newark & Sherwood District Council & escort; the colour parties including the North Hykeham ATC cadets; the museum staff, aircraft openers and volunteers who helped during the build-up, during and after the event. It was a wonderful day and during the coming days we expect to be hosting many veterans and their families who will be visiting the area for the official opening of the International Bomber Command Centre near Lincoln

Details of the latest book by the museum’s own Colin Savill; entitled “Station of Nations” the book that charts the history of RAF Balderton can be found on the news page of the website and more importantly copies can be purchased in the museum shop
