Thank you everyone
Vulcan 60th Anniversary Weekend

Many thanks to those people that visited the museum during this weekend; those thanks also go out; to the museum cockpit-opening volunteers for opening up the Vulcan and other museum aircraft; car parking operations; visiting display organisers for attending; the museum organisers; our visitors; Aeroboot sellers/buyers; and last but by no means least the museum staff (and volunteers) for their sterling hard work in the café, museum shop and site cleaning/tidying and car parking.

A big shout out to John LeBrun for his wonderful external Vulcan tours and for Julian Grenfell, who did four free talks over the weekend. We would like say a big special thank you to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight for the stunning Lancaster flyby on Saturday afternoon - directly over XM594!

As ever the museum’s own Vulcan XM594, proved to be a highlight for the visitors; as were many other of our aircraft cockpits. pre-booked attendees were able to benefit from the free access to the cockpit on both days. For the most part this allowed people on our February 2023 Waiting List to access XM594, however with a few 'no-shows' and the flexibility o four cockpit-openers we were able to allow some other visitors to access the aircraft.

2023 has been a big year for our beloved Vulcan XM594 and a big thank you to everyone who has helped us to mark two significant anniversaries.
