Book Launch - Flying the Vulcan
UPDATE 23.10.22 - Despite the heavy rain putting a bit of a damper on things today, copies of the book are now on sale in the Museum Shop!
On Sunday the 23rd October the museum will be hosting an informal book launch and book signing session for the new book entitled Flying the Vulcan.
This book has been written by four former Vulcan aircrew members and self-published via Amazon. These noted aircrew members are:
John LeBrun - Pilot
Anthony Wright - Navigator Radar
James Vinales - Navigator Plotter
Julian Grenfell - Air Electronics Officer
The initial print run has been completed as a softback edition and copies cost £ 12.00 each (museum member’s discount not applicable).
A small number of hard book copies are available and they cost £ 17.00 each
The hope is that the weather will hold to allow the book launch to take place under the Vulcan wing, or if the weather is not so good in the Dambusters Hut. Several of the authors will be on site to answer questions and sign copies of the book.
Proceeds from the book sales are helping towards the restoration costs on our Vulcan XM594.
